We have biweekly meetings and workshops on Mondays at 7 PM! Take a look at our events this semester!
Late Night Kickoff
π
Friday, August 28 | 8:30β11:00 PM
Come meet the team, learn about upcoming EMS workshops, and get hands-on with equipment and activities. Whether you're interested in EMS, healthcare, or simply want to build practical emergency skills, these workshops are designed to be interactive, scenario-based, and beginner-friendly.
September 8 β Airway Management
Learn how to manage a patient's airway using BVMs, OPAs, and NPAs. After learning the techniques, you'll work through realistic scenarios where you must decide which airway intervention is most appropriate.
September 21 β CPR & AED
Practice high-quality CPR, AED operation, and closed-loop communication. Work in teams of 3β4 and rotate through compressor, airway, and defibrillator roles to experience how a real resuscitation team works together.
October 5 β Patient Assessment: Speed Dating
Think you can figure out what's wrong with a patient in just a few minutes? Practice ABCs, SAMPLE, and OPQRST while rotating through rapid patient scenarios. Gather symptoms, medical history, and vital signs, then use the information to determine the most likely condition.
October 19 β Splinting
Get hands-on practice with SAM splints, triangular bandages, cervical collars, and improvised cardboard splints. Learn the techniques and then put them to the test in injury-based scenarios.
November 2 β Ambulance & EMS Operations Tour
Go behind the scenes and explore how EMS works outside the classroom. Tour an ambulance, learn about the equipment used on emergency calls, and see what it takes to operate as part of an emergency response system.
November 30 β START Triage: Mass Casualty Simulation
Put your skills to the test in a simulated mass-casualty incident. Learn the START triage system, then work in teams to rapidly assess multiple patients, prioritize injuries, and make critical decisions under a time limit.
December 3 β Study Social
Take a break from classes and join us for a relaxed study session with other students. Bring your notes, get some studying done, and connect with people attending the workshops.
